HELLO ALL!

Here's the list of the holiday homework:

English:
1. Read any 2 books from the list of 32 books given. Prepare an oral presentation on one of the books and there'll be a quiz on the other. See post on Wednesday, November 12, 2008, for further details.

Emath:
1. Paya Lebar Methodist Girls' School and Nan Hua High School's Examination papers (stapled together).

Amath:
1.Ping Yi Secondary School and Ang Mo Kio Secondary School's Examination papers (stapled together).
2. Do Exercise 13.4 of Amath textbook, Questions 1e, 2c, 2d, 2f, 3d, 3f, 4c, 4d, 5c, 5d, 5e, 5f, 6, 7. (These questions should be just for you to practise)
3. Visit heymath! to learn R-formulae (for Chiang Rai people) and Factor Formulae (for ALL).
4. Visit http://www.stuntbean.com/ for online assignment.
5. There MAY be an online heymath test. (not confirmed)

HCL:
1. Read 红楼梦 and 飞鱼在天. There will be a test when school reopens.
2. Do 报章读后感 and 演讲词.

Chemistry:
1. Do TYS Pg 45-46 (Mole Concept + Stoichiometry), Pg 98-100 (The Periodic Table), Pg 107-111 (Metals).
2. Do concept map on Metals (must use CMAP). Submit on 5 January 2009. Visit the ACP for further details of the assignment (downloading of CMAP, Examples of CMAP, etc.)

Biology:
1. Do worksheet on Chapter 16 (Reproduction in Plants).
2. Study Chapter 15 (Hormones) and 16 (Reproduction in Plants). There will be a test on week 2.

Physics:
1. Mr Ong suggests that you can do the questions in the TYS. (*OPTIONAL)
2. Print and do physics worksheet on ACP. (It was just uploaded on ACP on 19 November)

For those who copied this homework list before the physics worksheet was uploaded on ACP, pls take note of this additional homework!

History:
1. Do worksheet on Unit 13.2.

Social Studies:
1. Do Structured Essay Question:

“Diplomacy is an effective way to ensure that Singapore can confidently meet threats and preserve her sovereignty.” Do you agree? Explain your answer. [13]

Instructions:
1) Your essay should be typed in Arial font size 12.
2) Double spaced.
3) Indentation before every paragraph is required.
4) You are to submit the essay by 30th November 2008, just before the stroke of midnight! (TAKE NOTE OF THE DATE!)

How to hand in?
Upload your essay in MOODLE. Go to ACP > Click MOODLE icon > Search for SS Beyond the Classroom with Miss Noriff > Upload your essay in the respective class space.
